I'm sorry, I didn't fully understand your question. Are you simply asking what these pills smell like?
To my knowledge, U.S. prescription bottles don't have those little scent packets you're describing. It sounds like it's probably the pills that smell and stink up the bottle over time.
If a prescription bottle did have them, I don't think they would be used for freshness, since it has been proven by Harvard medical school that most medications can last up to 15 years beyond their listed expiration date.
