Oxetol 300 Mg Side Effects (Page 4)

Hi there,

My dad is 58yrs old, he's an epilepsy patient for last 30+ years..Right from inital stage till date he has been using sodium valproate 400mg twice a day. Recently a few weeks back he's affected with epilepsy (fits) after nearly two years gap.

As a common practice we have consulted the doctor and has make him to undergo all the test (ECG/EPG) etc tests.

As a result the doctor whom we consulted has advised to stop using sodium valproate 400mg and replace it with Oxetol 300mg and assured this should take care of the issue.

Now all im worried here is, with my dad being 58yrs old, will changing the medicine now have any kind of impact? Will he be safe?

Please advise, im pretty worried about his health...

sir mujhe feets ki shikayat he, jab mai 8 saal ka tha tab se. ab meri umr 22yrs he. ab mujhe feet bohat kam aate he. jab mai chota tha tab saal me lag bhag 4/5 baar feet k daure zarur padte the.lekin jaise hi hi meri umr badhte jarhi he, feet k daure kam ho rhe he. abhi mera tablates oxetal XR 300,levipil500,DIVAA-OD 500. ye teen tablates chalu he. mujhe fayda toh hua lekin nuksaan b. mera jisme sujan ho rhe. aur sar baal gir rahe he. iska upaaye bta ye plz plzz plz.

My wife 36 years old now she has same prob from 12/2010 last one and half year she has no fits but she is taking oxetol 300 last three years more but she lost her eyes vision totally with the effect of oxetol now I m replacing this tab

i'm 14yrs old and i've been taking oxetol since a couple of months . i was prescribed oxetol 300 mg and stalopam 5 .i have changed my doctor and now i have been prescribed oxetol 150 mg with no other pills but i still feel and look dull . is this dullness bcuz of the pills and if yes how long will it be .is it going to be permanent? plzz reply

I am recovering from Encephalitis over the last 6 years and I has with more than 20 medicines and am now down to three, of which Oxetol is one. Oxetol has to be reduced very very slowly. I was on 1200 mg a day 6 months ago and am now down to 750. I reduce 150 mg a month. That again, has not been without repurcussions. I have been having convulsions every once every three days; but with passage of time from the date of reduction, the severity reduces. I think you should approach the original doctor and follow his advice on reduction. What I have come to realise is that there is no complete cure for epilepsy. It just has to be managed carefully. Take particular care and have necessary consultations before making a reduction in dosage. I wish you daughter well.

my wife has seizure prob till dec 2010 but she is taking oxetol 300 from last three years he has no any seizure but she lost her vision ans hearing very bad side effect of this tab so carefully

Please read side effects of oxetol from internet website. There are many links withanswers. All synthetic medicines are like poisons. They make us severely ill and die so early. If your daughter stop these, she will be fine. Please take more fresh fruits and vegetables for healthy lives.

Pr,
It is too early to say if Oxetol will do a good job or not. You ought to have asked your doc why there was a relapse and why he was taking sodium valporate off. It is quite natural for one to turn to internet forum when worried but specialist answers are seldom found here. You look for hope and read a lot of stuff that will just confuse you. If that doc kept you dad convulsion free for many years, just trust that what he did was in the best interests of your dad.

My wife was suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia since 2010. Doctors here at Bhubaneswar (Apollo Hospital & Aditya Care Hospital) advised her to go for operation in IIMS, NEW DELHI. Accordingly she was taken to Delhi. But Dr Asok Mahapatra (H.O. D. -Neurol-Surgery) advised not to go for operation. He referred to Neurology Dept & was given one Injection on her forehead. Swelling occurred for 8-10 days & she was nor after that. She was also cured. But after a period of 8 months she suffered from Neuralgia problems again. Previously she was taking oxitol 150. After taking Oxitol 300 regularly for 4 year she suffered from head-rilling. Now Doctors are saying that it is due to a decrease of Sodium levels in her blood. They have stopped the use of Oxitol 300. Now her head-rilling is increasing day by day. So, what to do? Should she continue Oxitol 300 or not?

My husband has been suffering from epilepsy for the last 10 years. In 2016 he had surgery of left temporal lobe... After 4 months passed he had another seizer... Now doctors changed his medicine from zonisep n to oxetol 1200 each day.....My question is, will he be seizure free after the settlement of medicine or will his problem not be cured?...His eeg is normal ...What should I do now...????

Saw your post and thought of writing my experience. To avoid sodium loss the nerologist has also prescribed a tablet a day of CCM*. I have been taking it for the last one and a half year and do not have any problem whatsoever..... No pain no problems at all.

So now my dosages are

(1) 450 mg oxetol a day (225 mg x 2 times). Earlier, I had to take 600 mg oxetol a day, now reduced for the last month- no pain at all at this dose too.
and
(2) a tablet of CCM at night

I am 67 and very happy with Dr as well as what he has prescribed!!!!

Hello, i take oxetol 600, frisium 30mg and Calvit LC in a day, but when I see the side effects of these drugs then I want to stop treatment. So how can I leave these drugs? I feel depression and this treatment hinders my career. My age is 27 year.

My wife had taken oxytol 600 by mistake while intending giving to my son who is under treatment . Kindly advise whether my wife will have any side effect, as she's not a patient of epilepsy.

Sir, my son is 20 yrs old and taking oxetol 300 tab one in morning and one at night since 2015. Now the problem of urine not passing smoothly. He has to force to pass the urine. After urination there is a burning sensation. This problem started before 25 days the frequency is 3-4 times a day so please tell me that it is due to the side effect of oxetol 300. Also he has an OCD problem and he is taking the following medicines:

1- Flunil 40 at morning
2- clonil 25 at night
3- oleanz plus at night

So please guide me.

Hello sir/mam my daughter is 6 yrs old and was normal bt in feb 2017 she has an seizures attack while she was sleeping.from feb till august it repeats about 6 times.she is taking oxetol150.2 tablets in a day.before this problem she was very gd in her studies and her memory was very sharp bt now i notice that she cant concentrate and dont remember things.is there some problem in her memory pls help me i m very worried about her.
