@Fathima,

With regards to pregnancy, Oxetol (Oxcarbazepine) has been classified as a pregnancy-category C drug by the FDA.

From what I understand, there haven't been any controlled human studies, but apparently animal trials revealed increased cases of fetal abnormalities, including other developmental toxicities and manifestations.

Even though I didn't find seizures among the list of symptoms or side effects, it still doesn't seems like it would be safe to use this medication during pregnancy (at all) unless you can really justify the benefits outweighing any possible risks to the baby.

Does your doctor know that you're pregnant and taking this medication?
