Hello, Frannie! How are you?
It's really not a 'promising new drug', at all. The new name of it is Aversion and it is just an abuse deterrent form of Oxycodone, which is already on the market in various formulations and has been for years. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
This one was just specially designed to try to keep people from abusing it.
Is there anything else I can help with?
Hey Verwon- thanx 4 the reply.. I went a little farther. I got ahold of phiz4r and relayed 2 me that a company named acura (or something) owned it first, phizer then Acura bought it back. So they transferred me right to the company, and i talked to a man named pete. He was very patient. (i talk fast). he informed me that yes,They have the oxceta, and look 4 it to b rereleased in jan. 2015 or Feb. 2015. Lets keep our fingers crossed!! Frannie
It is now owned by Acura Pharmaceuticals. The formulation is still undergoing some FDA studies as far as I can tell.
The name of the pill has been changed from "Oxecta" to AVERSION" . . . as in aversion to taking pills. No joke.
