What is the difference between Purata and Urbanol and for what do you use them? Which one is the best to use with 10mg Lexamil an 120mg Gyn Gem.I also use Stilknox sleeping pills to sleep!I drink 5mg Urbanol one in the morning and one at night and i dont feel a difference ! ## Urbanol contains the active ingredient Clobazam, which is a Benzodiazepine that's used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. Hi, I'm in an opiate treatment methadone program.... I showed up positive for oxazepam, but my medications are clonazepam, fluoxetine, hydroxyzine, and testosterone cypionate.... They reduced my dose by ten milligrams and said I must be taking other drugs but I am not.... Is there a reason it showed up as that? I take 100 mg of Zoloft and I recently took a drug test and it came back positive for benzodiazepines and oxazepam? I know the Zoloft can show a false positive for the benzo because I read that online, but I have never heard of oxazepam and was wondering if Zoloft could create a false positive for that? ## I take 100mg if Zoloft and I just recently started failing drug test for oxazepam and benzodiazepines. how safe is purata sleeping tablets? ## PURATA (Aspen Healthcare, South Africa) is not specifically used as a sleeping tablet; it is available in 10, 15 and 30mg strengths and is OXAZEPAM, one of the oldest and most commonly prescribed benzodiazepine anxiolytics. It is also used frequently in acute alcohol withdrawal. Oxazepam has a relatively short half life and is normally taken on a qds (four times daily) basis. It is less as dating than diazepam, which is comparatively stronger (30mg oxazepam is roughly equivalent to 10-12mg diazepam). There are brands available such as Serenid Forte and Seresta Forte which are of 50mg strength and are more suitable for aiding the onset of sleep. Hello there. I am showing up positive for oxazepam and I had never heard of it before now. I take Lamictal, Lyrica, Neurontin, Clonidine, Potassium, loratadine, 800 mg ibuprofen, Magnesium, Vitamin D, and a multivitamin. Anybody know why? I'm thankful for any help :) ## Hi Tammy, Many of the drugs you mentioned are known to cause a number of different false-positives for various medications; however I cannot locate any definitive statements on whether or not they may show up as Oxazepam. Although, on the cheaper, less reliable tests, it seems anything is possible. False positives are known to occur on them anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time. So the possibility that one or more of those medications could show up as Oxazepam doesn't surprise me that much. Have you tried to dispute...

I took a drug screen and I am on Kolonapin. The kolonapin didn't show up but oxazepam and temazepam did and I have never even heard of them and had too look them up. Why did they come up but not my kolonapin and why did they pop up because I never heard of them or used them? ## They are also types of Benzodiazepines, just like the Clonazepam in the Klonopin and, if the place doing the testing uses the less expensive, non-certified tests, then they are known to show false positives anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time. Never heard of it. Never taken it. Just taking the same meds as always, but my Suboxone Dr says I'm positive. 1st test came out positive. Second was negative but that doesn't count. I'm on Klonopin, Cymbalta, Buspar, Lexapro, occasionally Flonase, Zyrtec, Aleve, Tylenol, etc. I have no Rx this time from my Suboxone Dr. I have to go to "substance abuse counseling" and I still don't know if I will be allowed my meds. I'm literally sick to my stomach. Shaking scared. At least if you do wrong, you know you can change your ways. I am taking buprinorphine and phenergan tablets. I have not ingested any benzodiazepams, and I take UA's for my probation officer regularly. I recenty had a test come up positive for something called oxazepam then they were all clean for a while and then months later showed up for benzodiazepams again. This is very concerning to me as my freedom is at stake. Does anyone have a clue what could be going on??? ## this shouldnt be happening if you arent using..if you arent using and this still shows in your tests then the testing is bad

I have taken 1x 10mg tablet of oxazepam due to feeling very anxious, but I am very worried that this will show up in my medical I have in 5 days and I will fail the dvla medical test. Will this one tablet show up in 5 days? ## My brother has been given Purata for withdrawal from alcohol. He ended up in the hospital with a damaged liver and muscular weakness. How long can you detect this in his blood? Could you kindly help me out as soon possible, for he is really very sick and I want tests done. ## The drug won't but the metabolites will depending on what kind of test they do. So you still fail. I am using Venlor 150mg once a day and Adco-Alzam 3 x per day for angxiety. The doctor doctor told me not to use it on a long term, but I have used it for three years now. Ihave asked him to give me something saver than the Alzam which I can use on a long term but he is stil finding out for the right medication. I take Tizanidine, Synthroid, Venlafaxine, and Methadone. I had a urine test the other day, and tested positive for Oxazepam. I have NEVER in my life even heard of Oxazepam. Unfortunately my doctor doesn't believe me and I am being penalized for this. Yes, they sent the test back to be further tested and it still came back positive for Oxazepam. Are one of the other drugs I do take causing this? So frustrated and insulted for being called a liar. So wrong!!!! ## Well, I went to an outside UA testing place that had good credentials and took another test which came back negative! I was told the tests they use at the clinic are on the cheaper side. I also have an appt wit my PA tomorrow to confirm I'm not positive for Benzo's.

I tested positive for oxazepam. I take no prescription medications. I have been taking cranberry tablets, cystex, ibuprofen and benadryl. Is there anything that could cause that because I haven't taken anything like that. ## I do testing for cps. Will benadryl. Show up as a ppositive on the meth ua panel ## I am on the methadone program and they did a saliva drug test and I came up dirty for benzos and I do not know why cause I have never takin any benzos ever what could cause this? Hi, I too keep coming up positive for oxazepam metabolites. I currently take Zoloft, Gabapentin (Neurontin), Klonopin, Seroquel, Ambien CR, and Suboxone. I've not taken any Valium in over 2 1/2 months but keep showing up for oxazepam. What gives? It bothers me because I really don't want my Doctor thinking I'm lying. Any help anyone could give would be much appreciated, thank you!

What the heck is going on? I knew that the medication I was prescribed has a little of a benzo in it....the medicine is called Librax for IBS. Now, I had a drug screen test and I came out positive for benzo and oxazepam. I do not take anything else, so why would I come out positive for oxazepam? Does anyone know?

Both of these medications tend to cause sedation, so combining them may intensify that effect and you may end up feeling very tired, dizzy and drowsy. It would be best not to drive or operate machinery, until you know how they actually affect you. They both also carry the risk of being habit forming and you may experience side effects, such as nausea, dry mouth, irritability and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
