Oralcon Birth Control Which Pills To Take And When
UpdatedHi, I started the pills backwards, I started on the red pills on the last day of my period. What should I do? Do I continue to take the red pills or do I start the white pills? Also are they going to work? Like will I be protected from getting pregnant? Thank you so much!

Hello, Rose! How are you?
Yes, you should have started with the active pills on the first or second day of your period, that would provide immediate protection from pregnancy, because it would prevent ovulation this month. Unless your doctor says otherwise, you should move on to the active tablets.
If you start the active tablets at any time later, you must take them for a full 7 days, before they will become protective against pregnancy, according to the FDA. So, you must use a backup method of protection, until the 8th day.
Typical side effects may possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, spotting and PMS-like symptoms.
Is there anything else I can help with?
Can taking the white oralcon pill delay the menstrual cycle? and if it does how many days before the supposed date should I start taking the pills??
