I can't get Opana 40 mg ,in NJ .I was told the warehouse had a mix up in bottling,my Dr. Put me on Exalgo and my Medicaid won't pay.I only have a days dose left! What am I to do be in ungodly pain? Cause opana isn't available and they won't pay for Exalgo? I need real help b4 IM ALL OUT OF MAIN MED FOR PAIN? ## I'm not sure when it will be available again. SINCE TAKING OPANA 20 MG ER AND OPANA 10 MG IR FOR BREAKTHROUGH HEADACHES I WAS RECENTLY PRESCRIBED THE NEW OPANO 20 MG ER PILLS. IT SEEMS THAT I STARTED GETTING MORE FREQUENT HEADACHES THAN BEFORE, SO MY OTHER DOCTOR PRESCRIBED OPIRAMATE 100 MG. ONCE DAY AT BEDTIME. How do I get high off of the new opana 20 er pills ? I know they gel up when u try to eat it .people say u can iv it and u can snort it but what is the fastest and easiest way to get high off these pills??? ## Although I'm not one to support this type of behavior, there are actually a lot of threads here in the forums that explain how to abuse this medication in pretty much every way you can think of (injections, snorting, microwaving, rectal/anally, etc). All joking aside, the only thing I haven't heard of yet was grinding down a pill and scrambling it up with your eggs for breakfast; but I'm sure it's been done already. LOL! i have been taking opana 40 for years. yes, this new opana is not working even taken the correct way. can anybody tell me if they are now on dilaudid, does it help with the pain i take two new opana 40 2x daily. it doesn't help with pain but it seems to make me tired to where not only am i dying in pain, but i am tired to where i can't seem to get up and do anything. does dillaudid make you sleepy. when i took the old opana it not only helped with pain, but i could get some things done around the house. i feel like i am losing my battle with pain, and losing my girlfriend because i never want to go anywhere or take care of OUR house. Does anyone one really know for sure if the genric Opana's that will be available in Sept. will be the old opana's or the new opana's? I have read that they will be the old ones and read they will be the new ones. Which is it? ## No, there is no official word on this yet. However, if they've changed the formulation of the name brand to prevent abuse, then it is very highly likely that they'll do the same with any generics, if they allow them to remain on the market. I am 58 yrs old. I am in the final stage of Lumbar Spinal Stenosis. With this disorder I also have killer nerve pain, and numbness. In the past I have been on all of the oxy drugs. Took Methdone 40 4x a day for about 4 yrs. worked at first, but then declined. Next I was put on Opana 40mg. Twice a day. Did great on that until they changed the makeup of it, and it started to cause vomiting. I told my Dr. about it so he changed my meds to Morphine Sulfate 60mg twice a day. I started to take it, and 6 hours after I took it, it made me vomit horribly for 3 hours. This went on for 4 days. I called my Dr. and now he wants me to find another pain clinic Dr. He pretty much was my last option, for my area, and he is close to 2 hours away. ok ok so the new opana are out and its pretty obvious that they dont work. i have even seen proff that im not digesting these little plastic pills. i go to pain management in 2 days and report how the morphene 60mg replacement is working for me (it did not, my only savior was the 5mg ir opana prescribed for breakthru) does anyone know what we can use as an effective replacement? can this really be all we have to choose from? where is the pain relief medication? what the hell is going on? i was told they were change (truthfully) because people were selling them to addicts and making a ton of money and the govt wasnt getting their share (taxes) so they stepped in and put a stop to it. if you think that our govt gives one s*** about anyone being addicted to drugs or dieing from overdose, t...

I take opana 30mg everyday but it is no longer prescribed, as my insurance lapsed when my husband died. I am on probation & have tested negative for it every month until today. Luckily i had an old vicodin bottle with me & convinced her it shows up as the same. I tested positive for oxy. Why would this happen today & never before? ## It really depends on the type of test they use, if they use one of the less expensive, non-certified tests, then they have been known to show random false positives anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time they are done. However, some pharmacies may still be experiencing a backlog, due to the fact that the supply was short for awhile and many people were waiting to get their prescriptions filled. First script was old Opana, just got a new one and they are green hockey pucks, I can't see my body absorbing any of this s***. I had to go to these because the new Oxy formula got me so sick with nausea, I'll see if these do the same, if so, I have no idea what to do. Duragesic did not work, and constantly had a feeling of going through w/d when on them. Treating pain meds like guns, because a few abuse them they penalise the law abiding. ## There have already been some complaints posted that the new Opana formulation doesn't work as well and that it causes odd side effects, in some people. i was a carpenter & fell 3 stories in 94 have been a single dad & in whchair.i suffer chronic lower back pain.i must have a high tolerance to meds unless got a high as they say at very begging as i feel nothing accept knocking off edge of pain.i'm on 40mgs of opanna 4xday & also 40mgs of oxycottin 4xday.i take 1 of each every 3 hrs as found out either lasted 8hrs. & my pain level gets gradually worst as day goes by & my morning r the worst unless im out of bed by 6.if i sleep till 9 as it is summer vocation it is miserable as i moan & feel as if need to be in hosptol it hurts so bad.i start daily gettin in jet tub & meditating for an hr.i guess been fortunate with bowel program but when got new opanna could not go for 11/2wk until was being force out last...

i also have RSD and i been on opanas 40mg and 20 mg twice a day these new ones just dont work they bind me up i had to go to the hospital and have stool removed from my ass not a plesant thing to have to go threw. i called endo and told them about it they said they have had some complaints i think everyone should call them and tell them your pills dont work and im not buying them anymore. it cost me 1200 bucks for those 2 scripts. thier number is 516 247 5701 westbury new york. Has anyone else found that the "New" Opanas are not as effective as the old ones for pain control? I have post herpetic trigeminal neuralgia. I am hoping that the generics will be like the old ones. This is crazy. ## Unfortunately yes, there have been quite a few people complaining about the reformulated ones, even though they are new. The problems seem to range from their causing odd side effects, to their not being as effective, as you've experienced. Learn more about the Opana details here. Can anyone tell me if they know if there is any difference in effect between the new formula (round) and the new new formula round and concave? I have the new formula and it is really making me feel disoriented, totally different from the old formula; however, does not work as well for pain. ## The active ingredient itself has not been changed, it is still Oxymorphone, but the tablets were reformulated to help prevent their abuse and, unfortunately, this has caused problems for many people. How strong is this medication. Op 20 ## It's difficult to say how strong something is without comparing it to something else. I did come across a long term patient review in which it was stated that Opana is more comparable or equivalent to the stronger pain medication known as Dilaudid and that it may also be stronger than Oxycodone and Morphine. So in that regard, it is certainly among the top pain medications in terms of potency. Keep in mind however that these medications can effect each individual differently, so you may have to re-align your expectations for Opana after you try it. Others have argued that the new formula of Opana is less effective than it's previous counterpart, but you shouldn't judge it solely based on others reviews. I hope this helps!

are the green Opana 20 time relesed if so how long does it take to kick in ## The green opana 20mg that are manufactured by Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc. are extended released tablets. The length of time it takes to "kick in" can vary for each individual and is also based on whether or not you take it with a meal. Having it with fatty food may prolong the absorption time due to a slower metabolism. I would think that you should be able to notice it when the drug kicks in, do you not? I don't have any personal experience with taking opana, so I can only assume that you feel the narcotic effects when it is absorbed. I hope this helps!
