Opana Issues
UpdatedHas anyone else found that the "New" Opanas are not as effective as the old ones for pain control? I have post herpetic trigeminal neuralgia. I am hoping that the generics will be like the old ones. This is crazy.

Unfortunately yes, there have been quite a few people complaining about the reformulated ones, even though they are new. The problems seem to range from their causing odd side effects, to their not being as effective, as you've experienced.

As far as I am aware, at this time, the generics have not been reformulated, yet. However, this could change at any given time, or the FDA might cause them to be done away with altogether, in similar fashion to Oxycontin.
Have you talked to your doctor about the issue? Or maybe asked your pharmacy about obtaining the generic?
