Opana Er 10 Mg (new Ones)

How long does it take for the new opana er 10 mg to enter your system for a urine drug test? I have sevier back pain, I am 50 years old and i was perscribed the new opana 10 mg. They are different from the ones I used to take and they didnt work as well as the ones I had before. I am hoping my doctor perscribes me the 20 mg so that I feel less pain for alot longer so I can take fewer pills. I didnt take the 10s on the regular bc they didnt take the pain away. I took one 20 mins before I had a Urine test so it would show up. Will they dectect it in my system?

Hi Leona,

From my experience, a good rule of thumb is that if you feel the drug kick in, then it will certainly show up after you took it. As far as the length of time it takes for you to feel it will vary depending upon your metabolism and whether or not you took it with food or on an empty stomach.

I would also keep in mind that when taking a urine test, Opana can be detected in your system for about 3-4 days after your last dose. So if you use this drug regularly then it will also be more likely to show up even if you didn't take that last one 20min prior to your test.
