It's difficult to say how strong something is without comparing it to something else. I did come across a long term patient review in which it was stated that Opana is more comparable or equivalent to the stronger pain medication known as Dilaudid and that it may also be stronger than Oxycodone and Morphine.
So in that regard, it is certainly among the top pain medications in terms of potency. Keep in mind however that these medications can effect each individual differently, so you may have to re-align your expectations for Opana after you try it.
Others have argued that the new formula of Opana is less effective than it's previous counterpart, but you shouldn't judge it solely based on others reviews.
