Only Took One Pill And Still Groggy 3 Days Later!

I've been prescribed mirtazapine 15 mg for insomnia but have only taken it once. Took it lateon Saturday night and couldn't get out of bed till 3:30 the next day! Very groggy and spaced out, back to bed at 10, in and out of sleep all night, still groggy the next day, early to bed and again in and out of sleep all night, both times with very vivid dreams. I'm afraid to take it again as I have to be up at 6:30 for work! How long does it take to get out of the system, and would these side-effects lessen? Also, I've read that it's less sedating at higher doses? I don't know whether to try a lower dose or a higher one!

To be honest, if it has affected you that much for that long of a time period, it probably isn't the right medication for you.
