One 30mg Pill Is 3 Times Bigger Than Another

I had asked my pharmacist how my last prescription I got there of 30mg MS Contin was 3 times the size of the other.One was red and huge and the other was blue and smaller than a aspirin .She acted like I was stupid and just kept repeating they were both 30mg of morphine.No s*** really? Anyway I figure one is full of garbage filler and the other was cleaner? I just don't know but would rather put the least amount of garbage into my body as possible.Anybody have a clue on how one pill could be soooo much bigger and what is in it?

Yes, you're right, one was likely full of inactive filler ingredients and it just suited the manufacturer's fancy to make them that size.

On the MS Contin with the 30mg small and 30mg small I had the same issue with my 100mg MS Contin's. I noticed for about 6-8 months that the pills were HUGE! Now the same manufacturer is back to the small blue pills i'm used too. If I had to guess the other responder was correct in that it was more convienent for them to make them that size. Most likely the extra size meant that they had more wax filler in them. They put the wax in it so that if someone is crushing and injecting them it makes it much harder to inject and even makes them FAR more dangerous if that extra wax gets injected. Bottom line though if your just taking them orally the extra wax will not hurt you. They are both 30mg in your case. The mg rating is the amount of Morphine in them. The overall size is not valid because even though one is larger than the other they both still have 30mg of morphine. I prefer the smaller ones because I can take them w/o something to drink. I have thought about injecting them for more pain relief but it looks to be quite dangerous if you don't know what your doing, and if you dont have the proper filters etc. I have syringes I got from my veternarians office but I'm afraid to inject because I dont know the proper techniqe and i lack the filters and sterile water needed. Anyone have any tips on injecting 100mg Mscontin? Filters needed? Or use cotton?
