Can Ondem Syrup be used to prevent travel sickness in children?

My daughter suffers from travel sickness i.e. vomits even for a short distance. what should I do for it? Is it o.k. to give her Ondem syrup? How long is the effect of Ondem and are there any side effects of giving too much of Ondem syrup?
