I've been on Lo Lostrin for about 5 months. I take the pill at the same time everyday. I've been heavily bleeding for 3 days now. I called my Gyno & she never called back. I don't use any other protectionbesides this. Im having bad cramps in my lower back and stomach and also in my lower area. Should i be concerned? Need help,fast.

Hello, Kayla! How are you doing? Sorry about the problem that you're having.
This is a hormonal contraceptive, so it can cause some unexpected breakthrough bleeding, though it is unusual for it to be happening this many months along.
Has your doctor returned your call, yet?
One option they may have you try is stopping it for a few days, to see if the bleeding slows and stops, but that would also mean you'd have to use some other form of protection against pregnancy for awhile.
