On Coumadin And Have Arthritis - Any Help?

The Mailman Says:
I take 2mg of Coumadin every day and will be for the rest of my life because I have a mechanical aortic valve that I got in 2013. No issues at all with the Coumadin other than I was recently diagnosed with osteoarthritis. Called to make an appointment with my rheumatologist and he wouldn’t even see me, stating there was nothing available for managing my osteoarthritis that I could take with Coumadin. I’m 61 years old and don’t plan on retiring any time soon. Other than swelling and pain in some of my joints I feel great and can work hard as ever. That’s the only thing that slows me down. My family doc said to take Tylenol which does nothing for me. I’m considering CBD but can’t find enough information on if it’s safe to take that with Coumadin or not. Surely I can’t be the only person in the world that is taking Coumadin and has bouts with osteoarthritis but it sure feels that way. I would love to hear what others have tried and had success with in treating the pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis while taking Coumadin.

After some research it looks like CBD is out of the picture for me as well. At least not me trying it on my own. Seems it reacts with the body the same way as Coumadin or Warfarin as it’s otherwise known, so there’s a risk of my blood getting dangerously thin. I live in rural South Texas so the chances of finding a doctor willing to work with me to get the right balance of CBD and Coumadin and keep my PT INR at the target level is slim. Anyone reading this have anything to offer at all?
