its a white capsule, it says OME on the side of it with the number 20 below it. inside the capsule are small very small oval shaped pinkish beads. ## what is OME used for? ## This contains 20mgs of Omeprazole, a generic for Prilosec, this is used to treat conditions such as heartburn and GERD. Losec and the dosage for baby ## Losec is listed as containing the active ingredient Omeprazole, this is a proton pump inhibitor, used to help reduce the amount of acid in the stomach, to treat conditions such as GERD and heartburn. I'm sorry, I haven't been able to find any information regarding the dosage for an infant. What has your doctor recommended? Common side effects can include: headache, dizziness, diarrhea and nausea. long reddish capsule bought in Mexico ## Are you talking about the drug Omeprazole used as a stomach medicine? ## The little bottle I have does not have an e on the end but I did buy something like Prilosec so that could be what it is. I have a lot of sneezing and coughing. I cough uncontrolably, then sneeze for 5 or 6 times. trade name = BUSCOPAN Each sugar coated tablet contains: Hyoscine Butylbromide I.P. 10mg ## U am using up to 8 a day 10mg tabs for 3 months now and have calcium deficiency now. I have diverticular disease. I use also omeprazole 20mg cap a day to stop return of peptic ulcer. side effects nausea diahorrea and constipation and ab. pain. am tempted to stop these prescription meds as they are making me more ill i believe.

my husband has been taking omeprazole for an ulcer, and to protect his stomach from cumadin. i went to get his script yesterday, and medicare and medicaid isnt covering it anymore... just like nexium and protonix. the price of the script is 407.00!!!! we just dont know where to go from here. is there an alternative med that anyone knows of that medicare will pay for? ## They covered it, until very recently and it is the generic, one of the cheaper medications. You should check his coverage to see what medications they will cover. ## I would be getting your husband to try over the counter Zantac 150mg twice a day. morning and supper and that will help better then the Nexium and Prevacid and other acid reducers. i am on Zantac twice a day, can't take Nexium and others. to many side ef...

It reduces the production of stomach acid to help prevent or relieve acid indigestiong, heartburn and etc. Now, why can't everyone post a description as thorough as that? alternativedrug for this drug that aetna pays for ## None of them, doesn't matter what you get, they will send the same letter after you get the next scrip filled twice and make you change again or get special authorization. Same thing happened to my husband on Aetna. They switched him from this to Prevacid, no on his second fill of the Prevacid, they sent the same letter. So what happened to their thing if you got it filled in the first month, you could continue to get it, no questions or denials, for the first year?

prescribed to stop symtoms of another drug ## I have been using Nexim for heartburn and I went to another doctor and he said I could use omeprazole as a substitute. Can you tell me will I have any side effects from this and is the drug just as good as Nexim? Thank you
