Omeprazole And Low Glucose
UpdatedHelp, I've been feeling faint, nauseous and dizzy for 2 years now. I can't exercise without feeling like I will black out and I must take several glucose tablets per day or I'm on the floor with flu-like symptoms. Something has gone really wrong with my health and I need help. Should I stop taking omeprazole? Am I experiencing side effects?

Hello, Bri! How are you?
The FDA does report hypoglycemia as being a possible side effect of this medication. You may also experience stomach pain, depression, flatulence and dry skin.
You may need to stop taking it, or switch to a different medication, but only your doctor can help you decide what's right for you.
Is there anything else I can help with?
