Our dog had this pill in his mouth after coming in from a walk. Luckily he did not swallow it. It was white and octagonal shaped with CGV on one side and CD on the other. Any idea what this is?

Well, his trying to eat it is actually completely understandable, this is a Sentinel tablet for dogs and it's beef flavored. LOL
It contains Mibemycin and Lufenuron and it's used to prevent heartworms and fleas.

I actually just saw the title to the post, so when I first did the search I though what an odd pill to find....then I clicked and read the rest of the post about your dog having found and was cracking it up, because it suddenly made sense.
