Does the A look like it could possibly be part of another imprint that has been rubbed off?

The closest match I can find based on your description is Hydrochlorothiazide and Irbesartan (12.5/ 300) mg; which
has the imprint APO on the front and 300/12.5 on the back. Hydrochlorothiazide/Irbesartan is used in the treatment of high blood pressure and belongs to the drug class antihypertensive combinations.
