Oxycontin For Pain Relief
UpdatedI took oxycontin and oxycodone for 6 years... stopped cold turkey, cause i lost my job and insurance..........first month sucked real bad, but now i am ok. By all means, if you are in serious pain, take a narcotic! Nothing else even comes close to the results of a narcotic pain reliever. DO NOT!... I REPEAT.....DO NOT listen to all the hype and yackety yack every little dip wad spouts off about the big bad opiates. After 6 years of use.... of around 120 - 150 mgs per day, I have definitely learned that narcotic painkillers are much safer and easier on your stomach lining than Tylenol, motrin, aspirin, aleve, and all the others! FACT!... So when someone used to tell me, i just take tylenol for my pain, because they feel its not as strong BUT MUCH, MUCH safer.... I would remember my doctor taking me off of percocet, because it had to much acetaminophen, and was causing my stomach to bleed. I never could get my friend to understand that. NOW he s***s blood every time he has a bowl movement and cant figure out what he's doing wrong. SURE, oxycodone is addicting. Everyone knows this. People who have fallen off of houses... or who have broke their neck in car accidents, could not give a flying screw what's addictive and whats not. I was addicted to narcotics for six years - now I am not! What is the problem with that. I broke my back, took narc's for 6 years to cope with the healing, now I am healed up, now I am off the oxy. SURE! it hurts coming off... but nowhere near as bad as breaking four of your vertebrae, now does it?

Thanks for putting out decent facts. So tired of self-righteous people scaring suffering people from good pain relief. Everything is backwards in this society. They tell you feeling bad with pain is better than feeling good with good pain relief. There is nothing bad about feeling good. And if a narcotic pain reliever makes you feel like doing things and or makes you more active from the good feeling...what's wrong with that. Many of us are in our last years and would like to function and live out our one life. Not lay around suffering and crying because moving isn't a choice when your pain is chronic and untreated. Addicts abuse drugs to escape life...pain patients take their pain medications to participate in life
