Hi terry,
If you're preparing for a port placement, an article by Ohio State University Medical Center advises talking with your doctor first when it comes to taking any blood thinning medication such as Lovenox. From there, they go on to state that you might need to change medications or make adjustments to the amount you take prior to the surgery.

After you've informed your doctor of what you're taking, that would probably also be the best time to ask if Lovenox is still compatible after the surgery as well. Information I'm finding suggests that it should be fine to administer in such a way, but it's always best to double check with your doctor for proper instructions just to be on the safe side.
