HI I STARTED TAKING OMEPRAZOLE40MG 11/22/13 I WONDER HAVING BACK ACHES ONE OF THE COMMON SIDE EFFECTS IF NOT I WILL CONTACT MY GI DOC. THIS WEEK.

No, that isn't a typical side effect. However, Omeprazole can cause some stomach pain as a side effect and if you were having a problem with acidity, that can sometimes affect the vagus nerve, which can cause pain that radiates into your back, so there are a couple possibilities as to what may be causing it.
