Ok I Really Want To Know Which Pain Med Is Best
Updatedthat's pretty much it...I have tried almost all of them, now I find myself back in pain management and would like some feedback on what might REALLY work?? I've read TONS of things about the "new" oxycontins...I was just prescribed some a few weeks ago.. I don't know if its because of the small dose..( 15mg.. )or what, but they did absolutely nothing for my pain..thats why I am asking YOU ..I am thinking of getting opana's..or morphine, i'm not really sure..this is where you come in..if you too have been through the wringer with trying to find a good medication for your pain, please let me know what YOU found that helps you the best..especially if its something I have mentioned...i'm just trying to finally find a good med without having to go through 6+ months of " hit and miss " ...thanks for reading...let me know what you think, even if its just to say I suck..its ok.., I appreciate your input...714

Hello, 714! How are you?
If Oxycontin isn't working for you, then you may want to ask your doctor about trying MS Contin, it's a time released formulation of Morphine. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Does anyone else have any suggestions?
hello Verwon, thanks so much for your reply! I really appreciate your input and yes, I am thinking of switching to either opana or morphine.. have you had either one of these?? thanks again,HOUSE714
I was given intravenous morphine recently in the hospital with a kidney stone which is the worst pain there is when it blocks a kidney and it did absolutely zero to reduce my pain. I was screaming 24 hours a day for four days until they surgically removed the stone.
Dilaudid worked when they gave me the pill once but then refused to give me any more.
I have found Dilaudid is best IF you can get some doctor to prescribe it for you.
My mother died in hospise and she had a broken back in 3 places and cancer and they gave her that intravenously.
I have a kidney stone and came to the ER screaming in unbearable pain and they gave me ONE pill which helped for an hour, then switched me to intravenous morphine which did zero but they would never give me any more of the blessed Dilaudid. I have some bad words I wish I could use for the people who refused me the Dilaudid. Good luck getting it.
