I have been taking Oral Nystatin Tablets for a few weeks for high levels of Candida found in an Organization. Acids Test. I noticed that about an hour after taking the medicine I start itching everywhere for abut an hour, maybe less then I am fine. Is this a possible allergic reaction or could it be the "yeasties" in my body reacting to the medicine? Thanks for any perspective on the situation.

Hello, Jana! How are you doing? Are you still experiencing the itching?
It would be best to consult your doctor, that could be the sign of an allergic reaction and such a reaction may continue to get worse, with repeated exposure to the allergen.
The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach pain.
