Nuzak And Weight Gain

I went off nuzak but at the same time changed from Eltroxin to Diotroxin. In that change I have been putting on weight and my stomach feeling uncomfortable and bloated constantly. Would it be from the Diotroxin that I'm now on and isn't working for me? Or possibly coming off the Nuzak? I'm thinking about going back to Eltroxin but not sure which could be the cause.

Such symptoms would most likely be due to starting a new medication, those aren't things that are normally caused by stopping one.

Diotroxin contains Levothyroxine and Liothyronine and these types of medications are well known to cause weight gain and GI upsets, such as what you're experiencing.

These side effects should start to taper off in about 4 to 6 weeks, as your body adjusts to the medication.

Thanks for your response! I ended up going back onto eltroxin but completely off the nuzak now but still my stomach has remained uncomfy,constantly swollen (just an umcomfy feeling)and swells hecticly so looks like im about 6mths pregnant soon as i have a meal(is very painful,feels like my intestines are completely swollen and about to burst.) My weight never decreased again when back on eltroxin. I'm quite sure my extra weight is water retention which is only around my abdomen and down my legs. My doctor prescribed librax and valdoxan which I've had for almost a wk but no difference what so ever just besides feeling tired and groggy from the valdoxan(a week is a little but i just would;ve expected my tum to be a bit better). She prescribed these meds as I thought the nuzak would've obviously helped with stress levels and in turn calming my ibs perhaps and maybe it's just to help my ibs here but I wouldn't go back on the nuzak because of the terrible constipation and killing my libido! but i just dont know really if there is another underlying issue or tests i should do.
