Hello, Penny! How are you?
They might not cover the name brand, now that a generic is available. Of course, that doesn't help, when no one has the generic in stock, or if it isn't on the general market, yet.
If you check out the Nuvigil website, they do have a savings card that you can use, you can find it here to see if you're eligible Nuvigil.com click here
The other alternative is to ask your doctor about prescribing a different medication that's cheaper or is covered by your insurance.
The FDA warns that this class of medications may carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia and weight loss.
Is there anything else I can help with?
Thank you for all the info. Yes the generic is Armodafinil and yes no one carries it nor will my insurance cover it. This has had such a profound effect on my life. I sleep so much, have gained 20lbs in 2 months, total lack of motivation. It truly shocks me that they can decide after years of coverage that they will no longer cover this needed medication. Crazy world.
The insurance company will not cover the generic Armodafini. It is shocking how they csn just decide not to cover it and leave me with no option
I pay out of pocket. Costco is cheapest pharmacy for any script. I pay $35 a month for 30 provigil pills but it's like $705 at Walmart. Crazy!
