I think I may have strained something. Have numbness and pain in hip joint. Have on hand Flexeril, Voltaren, Voltaren gel, Robaxin Prednisone and Lorcet. Have used heating pad and tens unit with gel. No relief. Trying not to have to go to doctor. Will any of these meds be effective alone or in combination? Never had the numbness before---skin hurts to touch.

Seeing a doctor would be your best option, to be honest. Given the numbness, there is a risk of your having some nerve damage starting, according to NIH reports, and delaying proper treatment might only make it worse.
Do you take any medications regularly?
Why do you have a TENS unit?
