My mother was advised to try Nucynta for pain relief. The doasge she is trying is 100mg. She can take a totoal of 600 mg per 24 hr period. If she does not take at least 1 while sleeping will it take longer in the AM to get relief?

Will pain management check the levels of nucynta in my system?
Will the levels show
Nucynta contains the active ingredient Tapentadol and is used to relieve moderate to severe pain.
As to pain relief, many of these medications are taken on an as needed basis, while they can work better if taken regularly, it is not really necessary to wake her in the middle of the night to take a dose, it will still help to alleviate her pain if she just takes it when she arises in the morning. The difference in the length of time it takes to help relieve her pain will not be really significant.
The only time you really have to worry about such a precise dosing schedules is when it comes to medications such as antibiotics and blood pressure drugs.
