Now Trying To Get Pregnant

Hi. I was on loestrin fe 1/20 for about 1year and half. Love it. The best control pill ever. But is time for us to have a baby. I just stopped taking it on the last day of my period, (b/c we are now trying to get pregnant) which left one brown pill in the pack. How long will I have to wait before I can get pregnant or can I get pregnant right way(i.e when I ovulate)? I'm also worried because I didn't get my period for about three month before this last one (and spotting on August 20th) on the 17th of September(which was very little. I only needed a liner). And it ended on the 21th which was the day I purposely misses the pill. I'm supposed to ovulate oct 1st. Is not having my period for 3months gonna effect me ovulating in October 1st? Or is it possible we get pregnant. Thank you.

It may take a couple of months, before your body balances your hormones back out and you actually ovulate. These hormonal contraceptives work by suppressing ovulation and that means that the greatest part of your body's production of progesterone is shut down, because no egg is released.

You should consult your doctor to get a better idea of the time frame, but usually it does take several months for things to get back to normal and for you to be able to get pregnant.
