Did it ever stop. I'm getting scared I truly may go bald. I cannot replace my hair at the rate it's coming out! Thank goodness it was thick to begin with.

I have been taking Contrave for over a year and half now. I cut back to one in the morning instead of the full dose for the day. I had really thick hair and I could see my scalp. I had lost tons I mean tons of hair. I have also lost 60 lbs. I have been taking more biotin again and started cutting back on Contrave so now I have all these short hairs growing back in. I like Contrave so I haven't stopped all the way, but I have seen this hair loss review from many people so I do know it is from the Contrave. I am also a Cosmetologist so I do understand hair. Now my weight loss has really stalled without taking the full dose but I also don't want to be skinny and bald. I am surprised they don't list hair loss higher up on the list of side effects for the drug.

Thank you Jose for that positive reply. I've been on Contrave for almost a month and have lost 11 pounds. I am a binge eater and obsessed with food. That's all gone and I'm eating less and getting full much faster. I think if the weight isn't dropping you're eating too much. Contrave is not magic, you still have to do the work but it's easier. I started four pills this past week and I'm feeling jittery so I'm cutting back to three. Other side effects are mild to none.

The foggy head is the worst part. And it does not seem to be getting better.

Re: Micasso (# 17) Expand Referenced Message

The smell issue and night sweats have been the worst part for me. The smell is like a combination of cigarette smoke and vehicle exhaust. Is your nose back to normal yet?

I have been on contrave for 6 months and just noticed that my hair is thinning a lot. How much hair loss did you experience?

@Jojo,

I'm not sure how long it's supposed to take for your body to adjust to the effects of Contrave, but after two months of it not working as expected I'd be hard pressed to expect anything different out of it. That's just me though. I realize some medications such as birth control can also take a long time to become fully effective as well; and if that is the case with Contrave this may just be an extended waiting game. However, on the other hand - if the side effects aren't worth the benefits you receive, be sure to let your doctor know so that he/she may consider letting you try other alternatives like Belviq.

Have you also given thought to other means of losing weight? (i.e. changes in diet or exercise habits)?

I hope this helps!
