Re: Tina (# 34)
hi, did your husband lose hair too or was it just you?
Re: Melissa (# 48)
Hi Melissa, I have been taking for about 3 and i am losing a significant amount of hair? I am worried, does it grow back. I am stopping immediately! Please let me know that it is growing back? Thank you
Re: maria (# 47)
I lost handfuls in the shower each day. When I finally stopped the medication you could see my scalp and it was especially noticeable at the front of my hairline. It took about 6 months for noticeable re growth and the hair is growing back thinner and oddly wavy.
Re: buckeye (# 45)
I have been on contrave for 6 months and just noticed that my hair is thinning a lot. How much hair loss did you experience?
Re: Micasso (# 17)
The smell issue and night sweats have been the worst part for me. The smell is like a combination of cigarette smoke and vehicle exhaust. Is your nose back to normal yet?
Re: Kelly (# 12)
I have been on Contrave for about 6 months. My hair is falling out in massive amounts! It will not hold color and is very dry/brittle. Contrave has helped with weight loss, but I hate the hair loss problem.
Yes it has helped with my hairloss. My hair has been growing back in. I take 30,000 units of biotin like my doctor told me to every day. That has really helped me. I have cut back to two a day. One in am one in pm. But for a while I did cut back to one pill in am. But now I did go to one in pm. But I won't do more than that or my hair will start to fall out again. I like how Contrave does help me so I don't want to stop completely.
Amber- has the extra Biotin and cutting back on contrave helped hairloss? I'd be interested in an update. Thanks!
Do you o if Belviq works?? I would be interested to see if anyone has tried it
The foggy head is the worst part. And it does not seem to be getting better.
Thank you Jose for that positive reply. I've been on Contrave for almost a month and have lost 11 pounds. I am a binge eater and obsessed with food. That's all gone and I'm eating less and getting full much faster. I think if the weight isn't dropping you're eating too much. Contrave is not magic, you still have to do the work but it's easier. I started four pills this past week and I'm feeling jittery so I'm cutting back to three. Other side effects are mild to none.

I took Contrave for 3 weeks and my hair so quickly became thin and was falling out a lot. It's too thin and it scares me so I stopped the Contrave. I can't be bald so unfortunately I will have to choose to stay off it.
I have been taking Contrave for over a year and half now. I cut back to one in the morning instead of the full dose for the day. I had really thick hair and I could see my scalp. I had lost tons I mean tons of hair. I have also lost 60 lbs. I have been taking more biotin again and started cutting back on Contrave so now I have all these short hairs growing back in. I like Contrave so I haven't stopped all the way, but I have seen this hair loss review from many people so I do know it is from the Contrave. I am also a Cosmetologist so I do understand hair. Now my weight loss has really stalled without taking the full dose but I also don't want to be skinny and bald. I am surprised they don't list hair loss higher up on the list of side effects for the drug.
Did it ever stop. I'm getting scared I truly may go bald. I cannot replace my hair at the rate it's coming out! Thank goodness it was thick to begin with.
On my first month taking the 3 pills now I am having major dizzy spells. Anyone know how long it can last
Just started taking Contrave and i feel just horrible. Had to get someone to work my shift. Will this sick feeling go away or should I stop taking
I've been taking Contave for 3 months and haven't lost weight. I have however lost a brush full of hair every time I shower. My husband lost 80 pounds while taking it but it could be due to his walking 6 miles a day.
I have been on Contrave for over a year now and so has my mom. Yes I have lost around 50 lbs and I like how it makes me not hungry. But yes my mom and I both have noticed continually losing hair. My hair use to be so so thick now it is way thinner. It's good I started out with more hair. Also my mom has lost tons of hair as well. I have noticed even my eyebrows are wag thinner now I have to fill them in. I am on the fence post weather I should keep taking it or get off of it. I don't want to lose my hair just to lose weight.
I took contrave for 4 days. I was ok with nausea but it gave me a fullness in my throat that I didn't like . So I just quit taking it. I want to try again but haven't decided if I Am or if I will just try another medication. Anyone had any trouble with that feeing while taking contrave ?
Actually im suffering from cold flashes and i hate it. It last for about 3 hours every day. Also my throught is swollen and I feel like i have the flu; right now im wondering if its worth it. My insurance doesnt cover it and since it wasnt cheep im trying to hang in there.
