I started taking Bystolic 2.5 weeks ago, stared with 5MG and moved to 10 MG off amlodipine-benaz 10/40MG, blood pressure has slowly increased, no is at 160/92. My heart beat was in the 60s now is at 50. Some dizzy spells, a little more loose than usual in the bathroom. I don't believe Bystolic is effective for me. It may require lowering to 5MG and adding back my old med.

Hello,

I don't know if you're interested, but there are many natural alternatives for Blood Pressure control that in my opinion can be just as effective as prescription medication (minus the side effects) if taken seriously.

I personally had severe hypertension at 150/90, but was able to control it by controlling my eating habits and exercising. What works for me may not work for everyone, but my initial advice is to look into natural ways such as: Low/no sodium foods to help reduce inflammation and water retention; supplementation of garlic, as well as having a diet that is high in fruit and veggies is the best fix in my opinion, due to their high potassium and magnesium contents.

Other dietary and non dietary options for lowering blood pressure can include various Essential Oils, a Low fat diet, Meditating, Aerobic exercise, Ayurvedic medicine, Hawthorn, Coenzyme Q10, Folic acid, and many more alternatives.

I hope this info helps!
