Norvasc Amlodipine Dosing
UpdatedHi! Is it ok to split the dose of amlodipine; 5mg in the morning and 5mg in the evening? What could be the possible effect of doing this?

Yes, that can be done, unless you've been given some specific reason why you shouldn't do so. Most doctors prescribe them to be taken in one dose, to help ensure that patients are more compliant on taking them.
The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.
Is there anything else I can help with?
