North Dakota And Early Refills
UpdatedHello,
I just moved to North Dakota two weeks ago and I have a prescription for Xanax. I filled my prescription on the 27th of July 2015 and am due for a refill on the 26th this month (August 2015). I live in a small town, Scranton, ND and the closest pharmacy to me is in Bowman, ND, about 13 miles away, and from what I have been told, the prices at the pharmacy there are extremely overpriced.
Currently I am unemployed and cannot afford the prices I have heard that they have, so I'm going to have to travel to Dickinson, ND, around an hour away from where I live, at their local Wal Mart to get a refill. Problem is, I own an old rundown '89 pickup truck that I don't think would be safe to make the trek in, so I'm going to have to get a ride from my father on one of his days off this weekend. Unfortunately this is on the 22nd and 23rd of this month, 3-4 days ahead of my refill date.
Would Wal Mart allow me to refill this weekend, instead of having to wait until the next weekend, which would be around 3 days after my refill is due? I am perfectly on schedule with my prescription, but I will be a nervous wreck not having my Xanax for 3 days. I have tried looking up early refill laws in North Dakota but found nothing that tells me if there is any leeway.
Any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Why not print one of those free RX Discount Cards and see how much it will cost at the Bowman pharmacy. I found years ago those cards can save you tons, sometimes even less than those with Insurance. I used one at Target once and $300 worth of medicine became $90. I see one on this page as I am typing this reply!
Eddy is correct, there is on available on this site, you just enter your email address, then print it and take it to your pharmacy. I have used them, in the past, when I was uninsured, and some of them do provide significant savings.
As to an early refill on your Xanax, they may make an exception due to your situation, but the best thing to do would be to ask ahead of time. This is a controlled substance some places will not fill it, until the exact day it is due.
Have you had any luck, yet?
