I have been taking Norco light orange, V 36 05, now I was given Norco white M366, which has a better reputation for pain relief? ## Hello, Pay! How are you? Both contains 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. It really comes down to which one works best for you. Have you tried the new ones, yet? How are they working?

All Hydrocodone Combination medications will become a Schedule II meds Oct. 6, 2014. ## Hello, BL! How are you? Thank you for the very helpful post. It is correct. I recently received the notice about it. That means no more refills and its use will be much more strictly regulated. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone have any questions about this change?

I have person on my case load who believes her doctor is giving her her Hydrocodone 10/ 325 and was explained she's getting a higher does than 5 because if her level of pain history. She showed me the pills the pills and the imprint was 126, white, scored in the back, oblong. I checked on the Internet and it said, she's getting 5/325, but the bottle said 10/325? Is this an error? ## Hello, ChubbyZ! How are you? It seems that there is an error somewhere, because you are correct on the dosage. However, I can't speak as to whether the pharmacy dispensed the wrong pills, or if they just misprinted the label on the prescription bottle. She'd need to get in touch with them to check. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side ef...

How does this compare (strength wise) to the Norco 10mg/325? I was taking those one per four hours? ## Hello, Katy! How are you? The Oxycodone is stronger, but since it's time released and you aren't taking it as often, you're probably looking at about an equivalent level of pain relief. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I'm looking for the pharmacy that carries 10/325 norcos made by Qualitest the yellow ones I live in Ontario Ca 91761 ## Hello, Oswald! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of pharmacies according to what medications from which manufacture they have in stock that I can refer to for you. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you tried asking your regular pharmacy if they can order them in for you?

Is hydrocodone acetaminophen 10 325, a schedule II controlled substance, under current law, 5-2-2014 ## Not under Federal Law, but it will be later on this year. Unless you live in New York State, if you do, all hydrocodone combinations meds have been a Schedule II there since February 2013. ## I live in Oregon, and have been taking Norco (schedule III), and Valium (schedule IV) for a while for back, knee, elbow, etc. pain. My doctor has me come to him monthly for the prescription. I am under the impression that schedule III and schedule IV controlled drugs can be prescribed with refills. Is that true? Am I being ripped off? ## Mike-your doctor is covering his license and preventing addiction for you. As of this year, I'm fairly sure we ALL will go monthly. My doctor who is a pain m...

What is the limit of narcotic 10 that drs can legally write in Tx. ## What is narcotic 10 ? Do you mean Norco 10 ? ## If you mean Norco 10. FDA recommeded dosage can be 1 every 4 hrs, that would be 6 a day and 180 a month. Texas doesn't have any other restriction on hydrocodone combination medications. If you have insurance, your insurance company may have restrictions. Drs do not have to use the max dosage for any med when prescribing. ## Did you ever find the answer? I'm looking for a 'doc' that will stop cutting me back after a couple months on.

Is it LEGAL for my DOCTOR to write 3 REFILLS on my NORCO 10 MG SCRIPTS? SIMPLE QUESTION... YES OR NO will suffice. Thank you, in advance, for your help. ## Yes it's legal. ## Actually, as of this month, refills on this medication are no longer permitted. The DEA has found that it is being more and more frequently abused, so the classification and regulations were changed regarding it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are there any other questions or concerns?

Need to know if my combat surgeon can write 3 refills on Norco 10MG? It's intrusive to ask each month. Also, he is stone deaf. How will the pharmacy verify. He got rid of his phone. We text and email. ## Hello, CajunConnie! How are you? As of this time, no. The regulations were just tightened by the DEA, since this medication is so frequently abused. They've placed it in a more restrictive category, so patients can no longer have refills on it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was in very bad wreck an insurance is not working an need help with pain an provide document ## @Countryblack, Sorry to hear about the wreck you were in. If you need additional assistance covering the cost your prescription for norco, there's always drug discount cards you can use to help offset the price. MedsChat actually offers a good savings card as well that can cut costs by up to 15 - 75% off at most pharmacies across the US. It's not intended to act as a substitute for insurance, but seems like it would certainly be worth a try nonetheless. You can view/print more details about it here: Rx Savings Card One other thing you ought to know is that many drug manufacturers also offer various types of patient assistance programs for those who meet certain income qualifications...

Hi all! I went to the Obgyn today and she sent my blood work off for routine testing which includes my liver levels. I am prescribed this medication, Norco 7.5/325 for degenerative disc disease. I do drink alcohol about 2-3x/week average of 8-10 units/week but always the day before or the day after taking norco. I have never drank alcohol and taken norco on the same day and I always wait close to 24 hours between last drink & dose or vice versa. I freak out about my liver a lot but my neck is in so much pain I try to forget about it. Now the gynecologist sent off these tests and I'm going to have to face the music, although I'm really not ready to. I have been taking Norco regularly (i.e. on the days that I don't drink) since 9/2013 so about 10 months. I usually take 2/d...

In Georgia, can my Dr call in a prescription for Norco 375/10, or does it have to be written? Can my Dr put refills on the prescription, or would I have to see the Dr monthly to get another prescription? ## Hi Jean, I believe it is your doctor's discretion to make these types of decisions, because there are many doctors out there who do call in prescriptions everyday, and it seems to just come down to their willingness to do so on your behalf. My mom actually had her doctor call in her Norco refill a number of times, due to her inability to leave the house frequently; but still had to be there in person to pick it up if that makes sense. However, she lives in California, not Georgia, so this is something you may have to call your doctor about and ask him directly for assistance. I h...

Is there any way possible that Dr's may be giving these M367 to people that has been on the meds for long time, maybe to get them off of them, force them off. I need knee surgery and no ins until O. Care in Nov. So my knee gets pampered with meds to calm the pain until I can have the surgery. When the drug was increased to 10mg it was filled twice with the funny shaped one, it gave me lot's of energy and I could bend down and clean my house & shop with out having to limp out of the store. Now this new pill does nothing at all. I kept taking it in hopes it would build up in my system but it's been a month now. It's not going to work. I have a full bottle that I no longer take, why take something that does nothing at all for pain or even energy which I have to admit th...

I've been on Norcos 10 mg on and off for the last three years. I take any where from 4 to 8 a day and I'm only 20 years old. My friend gave me an 8 mg Suboxone strip a few weeks ago and I've been wanting to get clean for so long. I feel like this time I need help. I ran out of money yesterday and I don't get paid until tomorrow. My withdrawal was so bad that I took my last does yesterday at 3 pm. I was so sick this morning but too scared to take the Suboxone because of everything I read about it and how it could make you so sick, I took a piece of it, about 2 mg, at 11:30. It had been 20 hours since my last Norco but I slept 9 of those hours. I was sick enough that I took a chance and within an hour all my withdrawal symptoms were gone. I now feel completely fine. I'...

I feel sorry for all you people. What is wrong with living life without having your mind altered? I use Norco as prescribed by my doctor. I hope some day very soon to be free of this substance. I wish I had never started. The pain is bad but I think it Is preferable to the drug. Norco robs me of my intellect and ambition, whilst numbing all my senses. It does not enhance life in any way. Please try to find a way to live a free life.

After 5 yrs of taking norco 10/325 2 times a day for fibromyalgia and degenerative disc disease I havnt grown a tolerence I dont have the need to increase dose. Im wondering why Im different. ## This is my personal opinion. I think some people are like that. I also think that some of it has to do with trying harder to manage your pain and not doing things that push your body into more pain. The people that are like this are and will remain better of for numerous reasons. They also should have fewer problems having their pain treated. ## Hello, Sam! How are you? As to why you've not developed a tolerance, it is simply due to the fact that everyone is different. Some people may develop a tolerance within a few months, while others may be able to take the same medication, in the same d...

I'm still having severe pain after taking 800mg of Advil pm. It's been an hour. Can I take a 10/325 norco? ## Hello, Rachel! How are you? Why did you take so much of the Advil PM? That's not safe, so no, it would not be a good idea to mix it with the Norco. Both the Diphenhydramine in the Advil PM and the Hydrocodone in the Norco can cause depression of the central nervous system, so it could be very dangerous. Norco: This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Hi my name is dawn, I have been in pain for years. Due to a few episodes of delusion, confusion I decided to wean off of all my pain related meds. I just stopped takingSerequel, weaning off of Norco which I have taken for 13 years following 2 disc surgeries. I also was taking Seroquel, Ritalin, Morphine as needed, oxycontic, as needed, and this is my 3rd day and I am having terrible withdrawal. My body feels like it is someone else's and when I take the Norco down to 8 a day from 10-12 those feelings go away. I am suffering. Any advice??? ## When you have been taking high doses of narcotics and try to abruptly cut down or stop taking them, even though you were not abusing them, you will experience withdrawal effects, because your body is used to having these substances and has become dependent on them. This is actually true of any m...
