Is Norco 10-325 as strong as Vicoden 10-660 for pain? ## The only difference is the Norco has 325 mgs Tylenol and the Vicodin 660 mgs. They both have the same amount of hydrocodone, 10 mgs. ## @Shep, BL is correct about the amount of Tylenol (Acetaminophen) in each medication. Therefore, the Vicodin would be stronger than the Norco. If your pain isn't severe, I personally recommend taking the Norco due to the fact that it contains less Tylenol (Acetaminophen). The more Acetaminophen, the harder it will be on your liver and other organs. Please post back if you have any questions! ## sorry but you can no longer get 660 in the usa

My Dr wrote the wrong date on my prescription for Norco and scratched it out and wrote the correct date above it. I have been on this medication and using this pharmacy for years. Will they give me a problem filling it? ## Take it to your normal pharmacy a day of two early...from your fill date...& not on sat when they can't call your doc. Tell the pharmacy about the mistake , even though they will have to call your doc to confirm your script anyway, especially if its a controlled medication.

I've been hearing from some of my friends that they are bootlegged pain pills going around. However, I just went to my Dr. & had a drug test. I'd not been home for several days & had to take a Norco. All my other meds showed up in my test, everything except the white oblong M367 Norco I had taken. I always get the yellow ones. But everyone keeps saying they are the same. If that's true why do my yellow ones show up in my drug screen but NOT THE WHITE ONES M367?

I need to know your savings price for norco oval orange pills 60 pills ## Hello, Laurie! How are you? I'm sorry, but this site does not manufacture, prescribe nor sell any medications or products, it is an information only resource, thus I do not have a price to quote you. can a weight gain be a concern with this medicine? I am taking this for lower back pain. ## Hello, Mary! How are you? The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. No, weight gain isn't typically due to the medication. Usually, when someone is taking these medications and experiences a gain, it's due to their pain causing them to be sedentary. Is there anything else I can help with?

Why does Norco/Hydrocodone, make me sick to my stomach & worsen my migraine, but Percocet/Oxycodone doesn't? ## Hello, Hriggs! How are you? Well, they are two different narcotics and there's always a chance of one working better for you, than another. That's why there are usually several medications available in any given treatment category. Someone else may have these problems with Percocet and have to take Norco, instead. The FDA classifies these medications as narcotic analgesics, so they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause sid effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

I took one Norco 5/325 a month ago. Will that cause a positive hair test? ## Hi MK, it appears that hair tests can detect opiates for up to 90 days using about 1.5 inches of hair. "Many opiates are detectable with hair tests (the same which are detectable in a urine test) and are included in the standard set of substances tested for by many companies. The standard hair screen takes the most recent 1.5 inches of growth and use those for testing. That provides a detection period of approximately 90 days. If an individual's hair is shorter than 1.5 inches, this detection period will be shorter." [1] I hope this helps! Can you let me know how it turns out for you? Source: erowid.org/chemicals/opiates/opiates_testing.shtml ## yes, I will let you know. The test is next month. I kn...

I take Norco 7.5/325mg and Morphine Sulfate 15mg E tab. When my pain management doctor has given me a urine drug test, it has shown up as Hydromorphone/Dilaudid. Is it possible when the two are taken at the same time it might show up as Hydromorphone/Dilaudid in the urine drug test since the two are mixed together? ## It is actually probably due to the test itself. The cheaper, non-certified tests that most doctors use are known to give false positives anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time. Semi-synthetic and synthetic opiates are well know to give false positives on them for other synthetic or semi-synthetic opiates. Have you discussed it with your doctor? ## Hydrocodone (Norco, Vicodin, etc.) is metabolized by the liver and changed into hydromorphone. Dilaudid is the generic form of hydr...

My doctor recently gave me hydrocodone 7.5 for pain. It's not controlling my pain. My brother told me I should try Norco. That's what he takes for pain and it works. What is the difference? ## The originial post here is old, from over a year ago, but I just want to make sure the correct information is available for others who may read this post in the future. Contrary to what was previously posted, Norco is not just a 10mg Hydrocodone, there are several doses available. That said, the only difference between what you are taking and what your brother is taking is the name. Norco is a name brand for the narcotic pain reliever containing Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen and you have a generic version. However, his dose could be higher than yours, or his pain might not be as severe, wh...

I need to know how long it stays in your urine. ## I am prescribed 30mg oxycodone and I've had a bad toothache for the past 4 to 5 days, so my question is this, for the past 4 or 5 days I have taken about 8 7.5/325 hydrocodone and I have a urine test in 2 weeks from today so how long before the hydrocodone will be out of my urine and will not show up!!! The only thing I need to show up is my Oxycodone that I am prescribed!!! If I stop taking the hydrocodone today will it be out of my urine when I take my urine drug screen test on 8-8-2014 , that's the date I have to take my test!!! Just tell me how it will take for the norcos to get out my urine bc I've only taken them for the 4 or 5 days!!! An I've only took 8 of them??? ## My doctor has put my on norco 7.5. 325 for pai...

Just curious on how much it's going to be to get filled ## @john, You didn't mention what quantity you were getting filled, but in my zip code, it has been stated that pharmacies will fill a prescription of thirty 10/325 brand name Norco tablets for an estimated $100 with an Rx Savings Card. Not sure about the cost without using one of those. However, I'd imagine that prices could also vary depending the quality of your insurance (if you have insurance) and what coverage they provide. For example: A close family member of mine has what I consider to be good insurance through Covered California/Healthnet and only pays somewhere between $18-$35 for a thirty day supply of Norco at this dosage...This just goes to show how different pricing variables can be. That said, it might e...

What is the difference in Norco 5-325 and Norco 10-325. ## Hi Scarlett, Aside from obvious changes in the dosage, the primary underlying difference between these two pills are the inactive ingredients (binders & fillers) that may or may not be present in each brand. Certain "inactive" ingredients are actually detrimental to how the drug is metabolized and used by your body. So it is quite possible that you may end up having a better reaction to a lesser dose just because of bioavailability and how your system responds to various fillers such as propylene glycol, corn starch, and other genetically modified substances. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Norco Details I hope this info helps! ## The first word is always the narcotic. This second word can always b...

Qualitest seems best, then Watson......don't know whats in between, but Malli are no good ## I take Hydrocodone10-325 Norco every 6 hrs for cervical disk pain along with soma 325 x3 a day. Had 2 major surgeries on neck, each one damaging another disk. Sometimes the medication works, sometimes it doesn't. Am at a loss at what options are for pain control anymore. ## @Jimmy, I second your opinion on Qualitest being one of the more sought after versions of Hydrocodone/APAP, due to what I would imagine to be a higher level of potency. My dad has been taking this brand for a while and says it makes other manufacturers seem like a placebo effect in comparison. I don't know if it's the binders/fillers that other manufacturers use or if they really are adding less active ingredi...

i just went to my pain doctor for the first time under the new law, he wrote me a prescription for 2 months and said go to any pharmacy. i'm taking norco 7.5/325 took it to walgreens, and they filled the 60 day suppy with no problem. before my doctor was dispensing meds at his office. so this was the first time at a pharmacy. it went smooth but took about 30 minutes for first time red tape. ## Hello, Marc! How are you? I'm very glad that you were able to get your prescription filled without a hassle. Is the pain pill y19-lu-a Norco ## Hello, Henry! How are you? No, nor is this any type of pain pill. This tablet is manufactured by Lupin Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 300mgs of Quetiapine. The FDA classifies this medication as an atypical antipsychotic that is used to treat conditions, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and major depression. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, somnolence and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with?

Works great for pain however......Has anyone noticed that this pill works excellent to stop allergies? No more sneezing congestion or runny nose. Anyone? Or just me? My doc thinks I'm lying. ## Hello, Lovely! How are you? Rather than actually relieving your allergies, you might just be experiencing the side effect of the opiate drying the mucosa. They are actually very well known to do that and without that extra moisture causing irritation, it would also make sense that your sneezing would stop. The FDA classifies this as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. So, it isn't that it would really be alleviating your allergies, it's just preventing such a se...

Hello. I have a doctor who I have seen for a long time who writes has regularly written me scripts. Sometimes it is for norco and then sometimes the next month she will do percocet. Both are 10/325 everytime. The question I am asking is how can I ensure that the Pharmacy will have the specific Noroc/Percocet that I am looking for. For example, sometimes Walgreens will have the white Watson 853's which I don't like. Sometimes the CVS will have the white A333 Percs which I do like. Is there a way my doctor can specify on my script which brand/manufacturer she wants to perscribe? ## Hello, Scott! How are you? No, there is no way to specific any certain generic. The most your doctor can do is write it as brand medically necessary, or whatever the equivalent is in your state, so they...
