Almost 2 years later and my Dr or my ortho Dr will not perscribe them for me. I'm looking for a Dr in the Bloomington Indiana area that could help. ## You need to see a Pain Management Dr. Norco is now a Schedule II drug and even though any Dr can prescribe it (or any other Schedule II) for chronic pain, many are referring patients to Pain Drs. ## I recently contacted a pain management DR and I was informed that he only treats with injections. ## Some do and some treat with both, or just meds depending on the situation. You may just have to make an appointment and go see one. There is no way to know how a Dr will treat each patient. But calling and only wanting meds is a...
I currently take Norco for the pain treatment of my cancer. I have used marijuana on occasion and have told my pain management doctor this. Because Marijuana is illegal in my state......I was told that if I tested positive for marijuana from a urine test, that any future pain medication would be denied. The urine tests are a surprise test when I have an appt. I see this pain management clinic every month to get new prescriptions for the pain. I find a lot of comfort with marijuana....yet, still need the Norco for pain. Is there a product that will eliminate only the marijuana and show the rest of the items used in my treatment? If I take something making me crystal clear will not help. I just need to eliminate the marijuana. I am a senior and it is not like I am abusing anything and am mos
UpdatedI took maybe 9 or 10 # 10 norcos this morning about 9 am on accident I grabbed the wrong bottle am I ok as far as oding by now or ,,??? ## Hello, Dee! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects? That is a very high amount of Acetaminophen to take, at once, and could possibly result in liver damage, liver failure or fatal toxicity. Even if you made it through and are feeling fine, you need to let your doctor know what happened, so they can evaluate your liver for any possible problems. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## I accidentally took to many Norcos !!! ## It wasn't actually me it was my friend yeah he...
i have arthritis and Fibromyalgia. I take either Norco or Percacet. Both make me very itchy. Can I safely take them with Benadryl? ## Hello, Julie! How are you? It would be best to check with your doctor first, to make sure it is safe you, because Benadryl can increase the absorption of most opiates, which may be too much for some people. The FDA also warns that opiates carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## The itching from opiate pain meds is not an allergic reaction and benedryl will not help relieve the itchy sensation. Typical one become itchy when the body has absorbed too much of the drug so you may be on to high of a dose since it is a negative...

No, if it was for a 30 day supply, the pharmacy will still hold you to the usual refill schedule. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## i know this is an old post but in the future they may fill it if its a new script being only 2 days but some pharmacist think they are God and make people wait...i been out of my hydro and oxy for 8 days once, and that was a nitemare but i take oxymorphone 10mg ER...
Hello, I'm on norco 10/325 5 times a day and I just got my dosage raised to 6 times a day. My question is will I be able to get it filled early sine the dosage is different? Thank you! :) ## It will depend on the pharmacist and your insurance. It also depends on how early you would be getting it filled. ## Thanks for the reply, it will be 6 days early. ## There's really no way of knowing until you go to the pharmacy. ## most will go is THREE days early.. sorry, experience.. ## Thanks for the reply, even if it's a different quantity? ## The problem is you have to finish out the 30 day script that you were on before they fill a new script with the new dosage. I'm assuming that your dosage went up because you were running out too soon each month. Just call your pharmacist a...
Hi folks, I've been taking Norco 10/325 for apx. 5 years now. My dosage is take 1-2 every 4-6 hours for pain. I have herniated discs, injury to spine from car accident & just recently sciatica. Sciatica pain to me for a female is like labor pains that never stop. So unfortunately I have to take certain medications to help. The Norco 10/325 has not been as effective which I knew this was going to happen sooner or later. My doctor did at one time (about a year ago) offered me to see his associate that prescribes oxycontin/Oxycodone and I refused telling him that I just don't want to go to something stronger. It scared me. NOW, I have been considering it and his associate no longer is there and I'd have to go to another office, a pain clinic to get them. While in the hospit...
How many norco 10-325 equal 1 percocet 5-325? ## Hello, Eric! How are you? Each 10mgs of Hydrocodone in the Norco is equivalent to 6.67mgs of Oxycodone in the Percocet. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
I have chronic back pain along with hip and knee pain that I was taking norco 10 for. Well I messed up and took a different drug that was in my blood work. My doctor didn't give me a chance. He told me I would not get them and no doctor would give them back... Why wont they if I would take a drug test to prove myself?
Updatedconcerned about a family member with the amount of acetaminiphen in these pain pills. How much is too much and how long before it can do damage to your liver? ## The 325 shows that each tablet contains 325mgs of the Acetaminophen and 10mgs of the opiate Hydrocodone. That is the same amount of Acetaminophen that is in regular Tylenol, which can be purchased over the counter. As to how much is too much, they need to stay at or under 3,000mgs of it a day. However, there is no definitive timeline I can quote you regarding how long, before it will do damage to their liver, if ever. It can vary from person to person and will depend on other factors, such as how much they are taking daily, whether not they drink alcohol, if they are on any other medications or etc. The FDA classifies this medi...
Norco.pain killer.on one side it has m365 and the orther side is blank it has a line down the middle ## Hello, Lele! How are you? Yes, this tablet is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so it is a generic for Norco. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
I've taken suboxone for about 3 weeks at 1 to 1/2 mg a day. I've been given my norcos back from the doctor , when can I use them again? ## Hello, TT! How are you? Unless your doctor instructed you otherwise, you should wait at least 72 hours, or the Naloxone in the Suboxone will neutralize the Norco. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
Hi, I've been taking norco 10/325 for a couple of years now for fibromyalgia and chronic back pain, tendonitus and siatica. I'm prescribed 90/month. But my pain is not being managed. I have high tolerance I guess., but im afraid to ask my dr. if he will prescribe 120 a month because 3 a day is just not cutting it at all. but i dont want him to get mad at me. Is he even allowed to prescribe more than 90 a month? or what is something that maybe lasts longer than the norco does? It seems these only help my severe pain for a couple of hours then it starts back up again. my quality of life is really diminishing. ## Hello, Sarah! How are you? If you want something that lasts longer, it might be best to speak to your doctor about trying a time released medication, such as Oxycontin. It...
For several years, I have been taking morphine ir 30mg and Hydrocodone 10/325 , both four times per day, as prescribed. . . what would withdrawl syptoms be ? Would it be dangerous if physician abruptly discontinues both at once, without "tapering off" or providing a substitute ? ## Hello, dbanana! How are you? Yes, a sudden withdrawal could be dangerous, such withdrawals have occasionally been known to cause seizures or severe dehydration. Other symptoms of withdrawal, as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, fever, chills, rebound pain and depression. Is there anything else I can help with?
I took 1 10/325 on dec 25 will it show upoin a urine test on dec 29. This is the only one I have ever taken but I am on roxy 30's and i was at a gettogether and didnt have any meds with me so I took the norco, But my dr, does extensive testing , so now I am worried if this one pill show up I am in trouble. Thanks for any answers. ## Yes, there is a chance that it will be detected. Like most other narcotics, the Hydrocodone in Norco can be detected for approximately 4 to 5 days, after taking it. There is, however, no precise time frame, because individuating factors are always going to play a role, these include your own metabolism, overall health, activity levels, fluid intake and etc. Is there anything else I can help with? ## How long does 2narcos,10-325 Narcos stay in your system...
What color are my prescription pills narco 5/325 ## I have been taking Norco for about 6 years ive recently been getting yellow tablets ibstead of the regular white. Ive noticed they are not as effective as tge white. ## What are the markings on them? Since this is available as a generic medication, there are far too many on the market for me to be able to list them all for you. However, if you can post back with the markings, I can look them up and provide you with the needed information. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
I am in need a new dr that will prescribe that Norco, my dr has been filling them for me for over 8 years for my back problems, last month he said he would no longer write narcotics for anyone or soma for anyone either. I need someone in the Chico area, up to 20 miles away that will write Narcotics and Soma for their patients. I also have medi-cal for my insurance. Any one???
UpdatedReluctant to switch from a 20 mg norco 3x a day for years to the Low Dose Naltraxone. I understand that the LDN may not have side effects in itself but I'm worried about withdrawaling from my Dr prescribed opiates. Does the LDN soften the withdral? ## Why are you being put on the Naltrexone? It's not an analgesic and if you take it too soon after taking opiates, it can actually throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. I'm sorry, but I'm a not quite understanding what's going on here. Naltrexone is usually used to help people stay off of opiates or alcohol. Along with withdrawals, its other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness and stomach cramps. ## Ldn is used in doses from 1.5 mg to 4.5 mg for immune syst...
is the m365 pill a norco? and is considered a vicodin ## Okay, Norco and Vicodin are both name brands for a medication that contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, which is a narcotic analgesic. The tablet in question, with the M 365 marking, is a generic that contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Has me confused. Vicodin is Vicodin and nor on is basically double the strength basically 2 vicodins =norco
I've been taking oxy 10 and/or norco 10 a min of 130 per month. Off and on for 5 yrs. I was blood tested at work and it came back 6x my prescribed limit. However, because i had a script I was able to maintain my job. I took some this morning and have been lowering my dosage to cut myself off without having serious withdrawal symptoms while I'm at work. I work with the public and the constant sweating and frequent RR trips for vomiting and the other stomach issues is a dead give away I'm withdrawing. I am looking for assistance and or guidance that will help to clean my system out for a urine and blood test. I'm not sure when the test will be administered as I can guarantee because of the last incident it will be at random. Today is Thursday and I return to work on Saturd...
