Norco White 176 Not Working

Hello everyone, I have severe back and neck issues along with bone chips in my foot from being shot 2 months ago by a friend and last week my son got my script and usually if I know the pills are the 176 ones, I'll refuse them. Well I have been taking them for a while and asked the Dr back in July 2nd that I'd like to try the 10mg methadone instead of the norco - so he did 3 a day and it was fine for about a week and a half but then my back and neck started up again. And after 3 weeks I was out of them. I called and told them that it didn't work so I got these last week on Monday and I took 2 when my boy got home and I had been in bed for a week in pain, so I thought great - and still 2 hours later no relief. So I took 2 more and then I noticed that they weren't the m367 ones and I knew they were a bit weaker, so I took 2 more I felt a little better, but not much. And I know once you leave the pharmacy you can't return meds. Also, I have diabetes and that prior month when I wasn't taken the norco my feet and legs were badly swollen. Back to the norcos. Well I understand the acetaminophen caution and the old limit was 4, now its 3 grams a day, so I'm concerned about my liver and I don't want to die either, that's close enough with my health issues and the bad anthrax vaccine I got in boot camp back in the 80s. So it's really hard when you can't sleep because of the pain, and I also get cluster headaches, and I take inj. and nasal sprays for that because pain meds don't work for them. Anyhow, but the past 3 nights I've been lucky. So I looked up (well, tried to find out) the weight and size for these pills and all I could find is the size of 13 mm but no weight, but the ones I have measure .564/1000 inch and that's 14+mm and the mfg is liberty so today I am here, I have some issues with my stature towards doctors and I won't go to them because they mainly think I'm lieing to get pills. I have several MRI's and what makes it worse is back in 91' after I left the service I was in a bad car wreck and spent a year in the hospital because they did an experimental graft on me, but the main issue is I also lost and broke my front teeth also and over time they got worse and since I'm on disability I can't fix it, and they probably think its from drug use such as methamphetamine, but I've never done it. So you think if I bring these back they would change them or throw them out because if they are here I will over take them to get my back somewhat manageable. So far out of 240 I have taken 86. I know I'm over the ace limit but its really hard at night when you can't sleep or are these pills bad because usually when I take these I have to take a laxative but I have been going normally. I do get very little relief but that's only after taking 5 and it only last for about a half hour to 45 min. I may bring them to the er or the police department to dispose of them tomorrow, but what to do? Go to the ER or my Dr? Or do I go to my therapist I had seen before when I had issues and I have also discussed the issue I have with Dr's? Please reply. Also I don't drink or take other drugs recreationally. I'm 51 and this sucks.

So here i am again and it's been a storm. I just got my blood work back and as i thought something is wrong. I lost close to 40 lbs in 2+ months and the blood work shows a thyriod issue which is from that dam vaccine shot i got in boot camp i guess IDK but after calling the VA and then arguing with them and then hanging up on them i get a call back from the DOD dept of Defense in less than 2 minutes telling me to pull over. Well long story short the gave me a so called direct # for personnel files which i called and it was the same as the 1-800 one so that's a you know what after 8-10 times trying to get my med files i just give up. I'll just have to accept the outcome.
Well it's been over a month since taken any Norco's and i didn't notice any issues such as the withdraws and i have been taken them for over 8 years also. However i was prescribed methadone 10mg x 2 a day but i took 4 a day. But the Pain issue is still present very very very badly the MRI shows issues in my lower back and upper neck areas. To drive is such a painful mission.
I'm getting a endo apt for the thyriod issue. Well my question is this - does it get better for me? i know 5 of my friends that were in boot camp with me then that are already passed and i already prepared my Son for it but i thought i had a few more years left, heck i'm only 51 but i see people older then myself functioning 100 times better and why.
Heck i don't do drugs for a happy thing, heck last time i smoked marijuana was in the 80's and it gave me a panic attack. All i could do was lay down on a mat and drinking isn't a option because it triggers the cluster headaches but the past 4 nights i have downed a fifth of Seagram 7 to sleep, well i guess black out.
But i think that method of pain management is stupid & harmful but i just can't lay awake all night any longer just can't do it. I realize my productive live is at an end. i raised my son by myself and he's in collage now, but i really would like to see grand kids. Is that asking too much. 12 years ago i had applied for 100k life insurance thru American families paid the premium and 2 months later it was returned, all blood work was clean also. So what the F is the issue. Am i just screwed or is this normal? i really don't care for partying or feeling high, never did never will but something is just not right here. I won't even call 911 now when i cant breath because it will be a welcome gift to die now. Not suicidal or anything but the pain has to end some time.
Well i hope none of you have this same issue and i bid you good evening AMG.
Hey, Should i worry? I had 3 Panic attacks last week and stopped the norco on Sat and i did not have withdrawals? Even a few days later no rls, runs, i pooped reg today a week later OK, but my chest is tight and it's the tightest in my calf and chest. I had meant to ask but i have memory issues and BP is below normal range, but if i walk 10 feet it pounds and my breath is short. This is My Normal BP after sitting 1/2 hour: 130/79/83. Please help.
Hello, Austin! How are you? I am sorry that you're in so much pain.
Yes, the pharmacy can dispose of them for you, or you can do so yourself. The current FDA directive on it says that you should mix them with some undesirable substance, such as used kitty litter, wet used coffee grounds, or etc. Place the whole mess into a sealed container and dispose of it with your normal trash. Please do not flush them, as that is known to cause ground water contamination.
Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generic medications are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus, or minus 20% of the active ingredient, and sometimes problems can arise, because they don't have to measure against each other, only against the name brand. So, this sometimes results in one generic being stronger than another and, if someone is used to taking a certain one, they may experience some issues, when switching to one from a different manufacturer.
As to your other issues, have you considered getting help from the VA? Medical care there is free, or nearly free for most veterans. My mother-in-law receives most of her medical care there and the only thing she pays is $9 per prescription. Yes, sometimes it can take awhile to get an appointment, but it is worth it for veterans that need care, especially since they usually have specialists on staff, as well as general practitioners.
