Will going straight from 40mg Norco daily to a Butrans patch cause precipitated withdrawals?

I'm waiting for her instructions still and all of the info online is confusing. On their website it says if you're on the equivalent of 30mg morphine or less that you don't have to taper down, but other sites say totally different.
Yes, it may, since Buprenorphine takes a stronger hold on the opiate receptors than the Norco, so it tends to kick it out, so to speak.
The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
