Norco Making Urine Test Come Up Positive For Morphine

I took norco prescribed by my Dr for pain for kidney stones.. I'm on parole and take urine tests. I tested positive for morphine. Does anyone know anything about this? I've never taken morphine before, not even in a hospital.

Help! I have been seeing my pm doc for a year and need to take a urine test at each monthly visit. Rx is Norco 10/325 every 6 hours. Hubby distributes meds. I have nrver had an issue until last month---by which I only found out yesterday.The pm doc said my levels were way off the charts. To say the least, I was dumbfounded. He wrote a lower dose and told me to come back in 2 weeks. At last month's visit I was highly dehydrated by regular meds and Benadryl I need to take for a weekly infusion. Sometimes I also need to take Beñadryl at a higher does for a day or so for extensive hives. Docs believe they are related to my Lupus. At the same tume, my pharmacist tagged several of my meds that could be the culprits. Only flagyl was in addition to normal meds. I could barely get a sample at first and needed 3 bottles of liquif and a long wait before I was able to get the amount needed. Nothing was said about getting additional testing for verification. To me such outlier results may not have been correct. There wasn't a nurse in the room and he didn't even do a cursory examination. Ibwas a basket case by the time I got home.
I left a message and the doc called me back. I mentioned my mefs and the possible idea he had mistaken me for another patient. The scenario came to mind since he had taken me to task about using Marijuana..."we talked about this before" he told me. My jaw dropped to the floor and outright denied it. He then realized it was another patient's records. He is calling me back tonight or tomorrow. I am really at a loss and am fearful of what may happen because my result was flagged. Should more have been done to check accuracy? another test? or a med interaction? I only remembered about the Benadryl today. My dayghter mentioned that sometimes Benadryl is used to make a med more effectivr. I cannot say anything to that point. Any help or quedtions I should ask the doctor?

I was just discharged from my physiatrist today for the very same problem.As everyone else. If you or an others have documentation, I really would like to know.
were did you find this and if it is to be proved to be true then we need to tell doctors and their bosses about it. We need proof.
How can they not know this? Especially pain mngmt doctors.
Sorry. I’m still mad about the appointment today.

Absolutely, it happened a month ago. The numbers for Morphine were low compared to hydrocodone 365 and norhydrocodone 477 hydromorphone were 201 and Morphine was 92. Codeine was 156.
I’ve been on this medicine for many months 6 or more.
The month before the results showed up completely zero! This makes no sense and it makes me so mad because it’s wrong! Now I’m going to look like a drug abuser.
I’m on pain meds for a awful autoimmune disease and severe back,hip and elbow pain. Every doctor I now see will think this of me. I need to rectify this and I need help to do it.
Please if anyone can help prove this is the aftermath of taking hydrocodone then p,ease advise me.
