Norco Rx In N. California

I haven't been able to fill my Norco 10/325's for over a week now. I started at my RiteAid pharmecy and waiting a week. Now I am out and I have called other local RiteAid pharmecies and Safeway pharmecies and they are all out, don't know when they will get more AND claim they get a little at a time. Anyone else having this problem?

However, if you're calling pharmacies, you're not going to get an accurate answer. They have no way of knowing if the person on the other end of the phone is a legitimate patient with a need, or a potential thief, so they will typically give such excuses. To get an accurate answer, you'll need to physically go to the pharmacies, with your prescription in hand.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Does anyone else have any ideas that may help?

I am having the same issue with Walmart. Last month (June) I gave my script to the pharmacy and it took 14 miserable days to get it filled. This month 7 days have passed and it may be filled tomorrow?? So in the past two months I have gone over 3 weeks without meds.

I spoke with the pharmacists more than once and I get the same story: Since the new DEA regulations have passed the pharmacies are limited on the amount of narcotics they can receive per order. Also they can no longer order when their supply is low. They are only allowed to order on certain days and in my small town the pharmacies cannot receive their order on the same day. The other issue is I cannot take my script to another pharmacy in town as none of them are accepting new patients that have narcotic prescriptions.

I had spoke with my physician about changing the med. She suggested Hyslinga, which is the newest form of hydrocodone but my insurance will not cover it. This medication is $470.00/mo for 30 pills and I can't afford that. I am going to speak with the doctor again because this is getting ridiculous. Nobody should have to be in this much pain! On the positive side, at least I don't go through withdrawals.

I suggest you keep a record and talk to your doctor. Maybe even call your state representative. I am going to.

Update: I learned that the pharmecies I normally use (RiteId, Walmart, Safeway) use the same delivery service and they were at fault. I went to CVS (they use different service) and got my rx filled witin an hour.

Yes I believe there is a high demand or over abusing of this medication

How are still able to get Norcos? I was cut off by my doctor on Norcos 3 years ago. I didn't think anyone got them unless they had surgery. your telling me you get norcos on a regular basis!??!
