Norco 10/325 Mg Quantity Limitations

Is there a new law in California that limits the quantity of Hydrocodone 10/325 to 120 pills per month?

New directives were issues by the DEA last year instructing doctors to restrict how much they prescribe, except in cases where someone has intractable pain from a possibly fatal illness.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Generally, people are to be kept to the equivalent of no more than 120mgs of Morphine a day, though some states have further restricted that to just the equivalent of 100mgs.

Additionally, your doctor is supposed to subscribe the bare minimum it takes to try to control your pain.

120 a month would still be 4 tablets daily.

It is up to a Dr to prescribe the amount he wants a patient to take, guidelines are no laws. Hydrocodone 10/ tylenol 325 can be taken every 4-6 hrs. Although for chronic pain most drs prescribe no more than 1 every 6 he's which comes to 120 tablets a month. It is also highly possible that your insurance company has restrictions on the amount they will pay for.
