Non-addict Worried About Passing Pre-employment Drug Test

I have chronic back pain that, because of my age (I'm 20), no doctor will prescribe me medication for. I've been taking between 1/2 and 2 Norco a day from a friend who takes pity on me depending on how much I hurt for a few months now. I've got no addiction, I don't take any if I'm out and about or doing something other than being sore around the house. I can easily stop and I plan to as soon as I'm called in for an interview. The reason I haven't as of now is, obviously, because I AM in pain and no one has been interested in hiring me thus far. My question is how long should it take for my system to be clean? I've seen 1-6 days but I'd like to know in my specific case if anyone has a clearer estimate.

Thanks.

For a urine drug test it will take about 4 days to clear the system. As far as a hair drug test is concerned as long as the hair is on the head it can show up in a hair follicle drug test. A hair drug test is meant to show consistent use over time. A 1.5 inch sample, cut at the scalp line, will go back 90 days. My best guess is that you MIGHT pass a urine drug test but FAIL a hair drug test. Depending on when you have to be tested, you could do your own Anonymous Extended Opiate Hair Drug Test which would give you a good idea what is going on.
