I started viibryd about 5 months ago and after the starter pack and my first month on 40 mg I started have noises in my ears. Went back and he said 20 mg is just as good as 20. The noises are getting worse and he said it could be the viibryd but it suppose to be such a wonder drug he wants me to stay on it. I can't stand the noise they are getting worse I'm going to go back on Prozac. Has anyone else had this problem

Hello, Yvonne! How are you doing? Sorry about the tinnitus.

Yes, many doctors get up in the new wonder drug hype, I understand why, since they want to help their patients, but sometimes extra caution would be the best approach, in my opinion….but that's just my opinion.

Tinnitus isn't a common side effect, but if only started when you started the Viibryd, then seeing if it is the culprit only makes sense, but be sure to check in with your doctor and let them know what you are doing and that they approve your going back to the prozac.
