Nitrofurmacr 100mg

i went to my docter and he give me nitrofur-macr 100mg
i got and i still have bad gas and diarria,i thought i still had my infection,so o went to see a different docter
and he give me a scripe of laxative i,ve been taking sometime,he never told me that it was the side effects
of the drug,i did,nt know until i looked up the drug.don,t take this drug.

I'm sorry, but I am somewhat confused by your post.

Nitrofurantoin is an antibiotic that is used to treat various types of infections and it can cause diarrhea as a side effect.

And, if you are suffering from diarrhea, it makes no sense for another doctor to give you a laxative.

In addition, all medications carry the risk of side effects, even over the counter products.

What is the specific problem you've been experiencing? Can you please post back with more information?

I was prescribed this drug for a urinary infection. After taking the first pill, the next am I became violently ill with vomiting. This kept on for 4 days, I continued taking it for the next couple of days since vomiting was not listed as a side effect. I went back to the doctor and my blood presure was 80/50. I was immediatly went to the ER where things really got worse. MY heart went into a fib with a rate over 160. Dozens of test were taken with no other abnormalties. The final diagnosis was that it must have been the nitrofur macr 100. I was in intensive care for 2 days and regular room for one more day. I would not recommend anyone take this medication. Has any one out there had similar problems?

I had side affects and adverse side affects after 4 days on this. I stoppped the med and and called the doctor
and said I had stopped it. It was for a urinary infection.
I thought my heart was working hard and felt weak after
a couple of steps:also felt lghtheaded, headace in the
back of the eyes, cough, stomach pains()belly button up),chills cough, dry heaves, no appetite,lifeless
feeling broke out in some kind of skin eruptions, and more!!!!! I feel like it poisioned my system. I do the
natural way 85% of the time and I do not believe that all
these new medicines are for everyone. Read the side
affects:they are awful. Hope this is helpful to someone,
as my friends said you probably have the flu! I knew I
did not because I am in tune with my body and on track.
when I add something new and take it away.

I was prescribed this drug as well for bladder infection. I have taken nine out of fourteen, and was so sick I thought I was going to die. Tired, could barely walk scruffing my heels along. Dieheria. Just DOWN! It has been 36 1/2 hours now and still cannot walk very far without getting out of breath. I had heart arrythmias also. I always check out the side effects on all prescribed meds but didn't on this. I will remember this killer drug.

On mine it says "if pregnant or becoming so discuss use of drug with your doctor .

That b/c your allergic to an active ingredient in tge medication

It will not cause you to miscarry no. Its obe of the safer antibiotics

I only took one and my tongue went numb. So I stopped. Going to see my doctor tomorrow. I am off the meds and taking meds I ve been on before and know it works.(cephalexin) I was prescribed to different meds for a uti plus pain in my right lower stomach. I found out on my own I need surgery for a appendix and hope the meds dont effect me getting it.

I ve experienced pain in the stomach, headaches, slowness, loss of appetite, weakness, irregular sleep pattern.
