Nitrofurantoin Mono Mcr 100 Mg For Uti

Hello, I was previously prescribed ciprofloxacin, for a uti caused by ecoli. After this didn't work, went back to the dr and have been prescribed nitro... I'm nursing a 9 month old baby and wonder if it's safe for him? Thx!

My boyfriend had bad left side pain in his lower region. He said it feels like he needs to urinate but can't and also says that it hurts when he tries to go. What might be the best antibiotics that would help? He has not seen a dr. yet, but I do have some Nitrofurantoin 100 mg capsules. Would that help at all?
