Nitrofurantoin For An Infection In The Finger
UpdatedCan you use nitrofurantoin for an infection in the cuticle of a finger if there is a little pus?

Has it been prescribed for you to treat it? It is an antibiotic, but should only be taken if you were told to take it for such an issue by a medical professional.
The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, and diarrhea.
A topical antibiotic ointment might also help, in such as case, unless it is a severe infection.
