Nitrofurantoin - What Should I Do!!!

Hi I just started this medicine today for a UTI. Only took it twice. I feel nausea, my whole body aches like crazy like I have the flu. I'm running a fever, got chills, my stomach is cramping. I just wanted to know does anyone know how long the symptoms last? I'm sitting here crying it's that bad but can't call my doctor because it's the weekend. Really don't feel like going to the hospital if they're not going to do anything.

Those can be normal side effects of this medication, according to FDA reports, you may also experience dizziness, headache, and non-allergic skin rash.

However, these symptoms could also be due to the UTI.

Have you informed your doctor? They should be able to help you determine the cause and discover a solution.
