Nitrofurantoin Mono Mac Bad Reaction

I am 15 weeks pregnant I was put on this medication for a UTI 2 capsules a day for 7 days I took 3 doses and didn't think much about mood changes because of being pregnant, after 4th dose I experienced severe vomiting, at the same time my nose was gushing blood, and I became extremely confused and unable to speak anything that made sence, I read possible side effects some included unusual bleeding confusion mood or mental changes severe vomiting. I contacted my doctor she then put me on keflax I have been fine ever since.

You may want to make sure it's listed under the allergy section of your medical records, to make sure no one tries to give it to you in the future.

Hi, my name is Brenda, and Im 16 years old. I was given these pills for a UTI (I am not pregnant nor sexually active) I get these because of my bladder. Anyways ive been taking these meds for a day or two now and i feel very sick is this a side effect of the pill?

Hi!
I went yesterday to the ER for a bad kidney pain and it ended up being. Bad uti, they put me on this med and i just took the first those this morning, 4 hours later i have a bad headache and feel funny jn mi head like tingling sensation a bit of nausea i hope this is normal....

This med totally freaked me out! I was nauseous, heart racing and made was not only confused, but speech slurred and could not make decisions. It was horrid. I have a stomach infection which required antibiotics.

I was put on Nitrofurantoin Mono capsules for an ear infection that did not respond to amoxicillin. Am supposed to be on it for 10 days. I question why this med for an ear infection? Also, after day 3 I feel disconnected, low grade headache, a bit freaked out, almost like in a panic attack mode, but not that severe... I really, really don't like this med, but people are saying I shouldn't stop it, because it's an antibiotic and I should finish it. I don't know if I can hang on for another 6 days, trying to talk myself down from a panicky mood...
