Nitrofur Macr Side Effects, Muscle Pain

I am 29 and took 2 days of a 3 day nitrofur macr prescription. I woke up with severe pain (muscle and joint pain) in my legs from the bottom of my feet to my hips. The pharmacist told me to stop taking the meds...my question is, how long might i continue feeling this effect? it has been over 36 hours since my last dose. And what would cause this to hapen?

It was most likely just a bad side effect reaction, it happens to some people.

Have you talked to your doctor about it? It's probably not the right medication for you and you may need to stay aware from it in the future.

Has it improved any? It may last about a week, or so.

Ihave been taking this med for 6 days and also notice about 4 or 5 nights ago that I kept waking up with muscle cramps in my ankles. Just talked to a pharmacist who told me I need to quit this med and call my MD in the morning for a different antibiotic.

I am 45 years I had headache when u took it and in the 3rd day I had severe knee joint pain. It has been more than a month and a half n I still have joint pain. My doctor prescribe me prednisone n got better fir a week n now my joint pain is back again.
